Official Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Eligibility
2. Entry is open to residents of Australia. As contestants are children (under the age of 18), consent from a parent or legal guardian is required to enter. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
Competition Period
3. The competition commences on 12/08/2026 and closes on 26th August at 12pm midnight ('Competition Period'). Entries received after this time will not be accepted.
How to Enter
4. To enter, contestants must submit an answer to the prompt: 'Why do you want to learn woodwork with your dad?' in 25 words or less during the Competition Period. Entries must be submitted via the online form by the child's parent or legal guardian.
5. Only one entry per person is permitted. Word count will be strictly enforced; entries exceeding 25 words will be disqualified.
Game of Skill
6. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on creativity, literary merit, and originality.
Prizes and Judging
7. Judging will take place at Make+Meld on the 27th of August 2026. The winner will be notified by email within 5 days of judging.
8. The prize consists of A complete Journey Into Woodwork Subscription (12 x monthly packs complete with course material, wooden parts and hardware with shipping included) valued at $708 plus shipping. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash.
General
9. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process.
10. Personal information collected will be used solely for the purpose of conducting this competition and will not be disclosed to third parties without consent.
